Permalink to Why come?Good data visualizations in the classroom can be challenging to find and to use. You’ll get to use our new data visualization tool for the classroom, SOS Explorer, before it’s official release! We’ll provide you with tools and examples to come up with your own relevant ways to use it in your classroom setting. Or, if you already bring your students to NOAA Boulder for field trips, you will also have the option to make your own tailored SOS Theater presentation.
What is SOS?
Permalink to What is SOS?Science On a Sphere (SOS) is a giant animated, intuitive & captivating globe used by NOAA as an educational tool that allows your students to see weather, plate tectonics, geography, the effects of seasons, and details about the far reaches of our globe - the Arctic & Antarctic. SOS Explorer is a desktop version of the SOS musuem experience.
What is SOS Explorer?

Our Goal

To Apply

- Where and what grade you teach.
- A few sentences about why you are interested in working with Science On a Sphere®
- Whether you will be applying for 2.0 CEU credits or 1.5 graduate level credit from University of Colorado (1 CEU = 10 CDE)
Then what?
