Permalink to Why come?Data in the classroom can be challenging. You’ll be the first to see and use our new data visualization tool for the classroom — an online version of Science on a Sphere®!!! We’ll provide you with tools and examples and allow time for you to come up with your own fantastic ways to use it in your classroom.
What is SOS?
Permalink to What is SOS?Science On a Sphere® (SOS) is a giant animated, intuitive & captivating globe used by NOAA as an educational tool that allows your students to see weather, plate tectonics, geography, the effects of seasons, and details about the far reaches of our globe - the Arctic & Antarctic.
Our Goal
Permalink to Our GoalTo equip you to use Science On a Sphere to explain difficult-to-visualize scientific concepts such as weather, plate tectonics, geography & vegetation, seasons, the Arctic & Antarctic.
To Apply

- Where and what grade you teach.
- A few sentences about why you are interested in working with Science On a Sphere®
- Whether you will be applying for 2.0 CEU credits or 1.5 graduate level credit from University of Colorado (1 CEU = 10 CDE)
