The SOS Team

The SOS team is part of NOAA’s Office of Education. The team is a diverse group of software developers, scientists, and educators who are federal employees, cooperative institute employees, and NOAA contractors. The Center for Education, Engagement, and Evaluation (CEEE) at the Coooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado Boulder employs over half the team and is a valuable partner in advancing the educational mission of the program. Other crucial partners include NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service Viz Lab and the Global Systems Laboratory.
