The SOS Team

The SOS team is part of NOAA’s Office of Education. The team is composed of software developers, scientists, and educators. It also includes many partners, such as the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service Viz Lab, the Global Systems Laboratory, and the Center for Education, Engagement, and Evaluation (CEEE) at the Coooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Five overlapping groups make up the Science On a Sphere team: Research, Development, Visualization, Education, and Operations. Each team works with each other to advance the mission and vision of the project.
