Setup Sony Projector (VPL-FE40) Menu and IP address

  1. On the Menu:
    Picture - Picture Mode: Dynamic
    Setup - Speaker: Off
    Setup - Cooling Setup: High
    Function - Smart APA: Off
    Installation - Image Flip: HV (This is for a ceiling mount; upside down)
    Installation - Lamp Mode: High (This is for a bright place)
    Installation - Illumination: Off

  2. Use the button labeled "Air Shot" on the Sony remote to change the network settings (For Remote On/Off projectors):
    Manual Mode 1 -
      IP Address Setting: Manual
      IP Address: 10.1.1.71 (10.1.1.72, 10.1.1.73, 10.1.1.74)
      Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

    Then click "Select" to update setting

  3. Everythings are default except upper settings.

  4. To get back to the original image, press "Input A" on the remote. If that doesn't work, try "Input B"
